I'm a slug in the heat. Trying to stay indoors where it cool and I can sew. Come on over and we can have some peach iced tea and coffeecake and let the guys do the hot stuff. :o)
Oh, you poor thing! Moving is a pain in itself, but coupled with ridiculous heat its even worse. I hope you're able to get back to your sewing soon. I'm with Stephanie, though...go have a glass a iced tea and let the guys do the work. haha
Oh Glenna, I am so sorry. I hate moving too. I STILL have not unpacked all the boxes in our garage and we moved the week before Christmas. I think it is safe to say that I will ignore them a little longer too. I pray your move goes smoothly and you are able to enjoy some fun things about it.
Glenna, your Jadeite collection is awesome. Enjoy your new move.
Would you be so kind to (& tell your friends) comment on my BLOG ONLY (emails don’t count), for the Miracle Makeover fund drive. Charlie, 8 yr. old, & his story are fabulous. Every comment brings us a $1 for the next person that will be sponsored.

It doesn't seem possible, but I have been quilting for close to 30 years! I worked and taught in local quilt shops for many of those years. 15 years ago, I fell in love with all things vintage and in 2003 opened a retail website (Hollyhock Quilts) to sell vintage quilty things, particularly feedsacks. From there I expanded into quilt design and publishing patterns, designing feedsack inspired fabrics for P&B and then Maywood, and writing a book on feedsacks entitled "Sugar Sack Quilts". These days I spend most of my time selling vintage goodies on eBay and Etsy. We are trying to travel more for pleasure and doing the things we didn't have time for when I was working so much. We have a great life and want to enjoy it!

Moving is no fun, let alone doing it in unbearable heat. Best of luck! You are missed.
Best wishes in your move! Once you get there, I just know you will sew!!

Packing is the worst--especially in the heat. Seems like everytime we move, we do it in the middle of the summer. But hopefully you'll be sewing soon!

Oh I feel so sorry for you! We have packed and moved many times and I dread unpacking. Hope you are taking plenty of breaks in the heat.
