Welcome to the Spring Blog Hop and Giveaway!

Hi Everyone!  I am thrilled to be a part of this fun blog hop.  Darlene at SewCalGal has done a great job of organizing it and kicking it off.  I hope you are having a great time visiting the wonderful blogs that are participating.  It looks like there are a LOT of great giveaways!  You'll find yet another one at the end of this post!

Many of you know that feedsacks are my thing.  For years I have sold feedsacks squares here on my website as well as eBay and Etsy.  Well, I am adding something new to my inventory!  I am now offering FEEDSACK DIE CUTS!  Some of these will be backed and ready to fuse for applique and others will be for piecing.  Here are a few of them that you will see available here and in my stores....

Some of you have seen this quilt before.  "Four Seasons" is one of my rescue pieces that I refer to as "Tattered Treasures".

I was so excited when I found a HOUSE BLOCK die for my AccuQuilt Studio Cutter!  It is so cool that I can just flip the fabric and have houses facing both directions.  I have found that it is better to cut your background block and add the sash and border before you iron on the house.  That way you don't have to worry about sewing around your placement.  Here are four house blocks put together in the same manner as my Four Seasons quilt.  I actually like them just as is, but if you wanted to embellish them as I have in my piece above, you could certainly do it!

Some of the other Spring items that will be available are fabulous 8" Baskets....

Little 1" and 2" Flowers....

Really fun 8" Birdhouses...

And cute Little 3" to 5" Birds to fill them!

This is just the tip of the iceberg!  I'm hoping to have these and more posted within the next few weeks.  However, if you see anything you have to have RIGHT NOW, please email me at hollyhockquilts@gmail.com for pricing.

I also want to pass along that I am being featured on Melissa's Lilac Lane today!  She's got a terrific blog if you have time to hop over and visit.

Now, for the giveaway!  I want to share a little piece of Spring with you.  Here is one of my original designs.  It is a 14" block with feedsacks in the background, house and backing.  It is embellished with a chenille bunny, vintage buttons and newer fabrics.  The border is from my first fabric collection called "Fun with Feedsacks!" and the binding is a reclaimed 1930's floral.  There is a sleeve for hanging, too.  I hope the winner will enjoy it!

There are several ways to enter.  The winner will be chosen on Wednesday, April 20th.

1)  Just leave me a comment on this post.
2)  Leave another comment that you are a follower.  If you are not already a follower, you can become one now.
3)  Leave comment #3 if Hollyhock Quilts is added to your blog roll OR you post my button on your blog.

That's it!  Happy, Happy Spring to ALL of you!  Thanks so much for visiting!!  Be sure to check in on all the blogs that posted this week...
