Thunder Snow!!

Here's what we woke up to today!  I heard thunder with the snow storm.  It's still coming down and should end this afternoon.  The record snowfall for 1 day in Tulsa is 12.9" and I think we're close to that.  A fun day to stay at home!!

This is outside our front window.  Note where the window sill is, then look at the tree trunk to get perspective on this drift...

That hump you see is a stone bench....

This is looking at our back screened porch...

Stay warm and safe!!

This first time I've heard of Thunder Snow was on this weekend's news. I'm happy we didn't get any of that snowstorm. Stay warm and happy sewing.-

We will look like that tomorrow morning!! The wind is howling, and blowing. Snow is falling, Lot os things are already canceled or closed for tomorrow. I think I saw you have passed the 12.5 mark. They are predicting a thunder snow for us as well!!
Just west of Chicago!

Its snowing to beat the band here in Wisconsin as well. I heard winter thunder when I lived in Nebraska. That's when I learned this little poem: Hear winter thunder, see a summer wonder.

The snow it beautiful. Here in South East Texas it is expected to snow Friday. The wind is really blowing and it is about 26. But we never get snow like that.
