Time to Reorganize!

Have you ever seen such a MESS???

Honest.  My room is crazy, but not usually this bad.

I really do have a purpose here.

OK.  So here's the story.  When we were in Houston, my DH bought me a wonderful new sewing/cutting table.  It's got a machine insert and with the push of a button you can adjust the height to cutting level.  So, two tables in one!  It's a big 40" x 72" so I should be able to do a lot of quilting.  I had to move some things around to accomodate, so decided to reorganize my studio.  Why does it have to get so much worse before it gets better??

Even the closet is awful...

OK.  I've bared my soul and now I'm accountable.  I promise I'll show pics when it's all put back together.  Have a great Thanksgiving and think about me.....

Any room full of quilt fabric is a wonderful room. I know you will have it all organized in no time. With all the traveling you have been doing, I'm surprised you've even had time to think about it.

I think if I had that much fabric, I would just sit in the room and drool. I wouldn't get anything done at all LOL. On the bright side, you DO have the vacuum in the room already :) You are almost there!

It's going to be amazing - take a deep breath and enjoy the journey.

Can't wait to see pics of the new sewing/cutting table. The fun thing about re-organizing your room is finding a few things/material you forgot you had. At least that happens to me.

I think it's a rule that it has to get worse before it gets better. Same thing happens to me (and it includes other rooms getting messy). Congrats on your new table!

I did that last year and it took me a solid week of work. Good luck!!! You will love it when it is done.

I have a wonderful sewing/cutting table that I bought from a quilt show a couple years ago and it came with a free chair! I LOVE it! I hope you enjoy yours too. :-)

Good luck with all your reorganizing! You sometimes have to make a mess for things to get better - looking forward to finish pics.♥

I'd love to know what brand your table is - being able to change the height would be wonderful! And your room looks at least as good as mine does, and I don't have any excuses!!

Oh yes, I have seen that mess somewhere before. Wait, I think it was here. But really if it is a fabric mess, it is just glorious. Don't worry the organization will come!

OK, now I'm a little bit jealous...You could almost swim in with your fabrics as Donald Ducks uncle do with money ;)

Ah, fabric heaven - that's what you have there. Neat is better, but even messy is still good. Can't wait to see it all put together with your new table. Yippee for a husband who knows how to buy good gifts!

Whoa! I know the feeling well - it ALWAYS gets worse before it can get better! Can't wait to see the finished product!! It's such a great feeling when it's done!

I can relate. :-)
The only difference is that my mass hoard of fabrics is crammed into a much smaller space. LOL
What a great light-filled room you have to work in!

Hi Glenna... Jane is right... It sure looks like a little bit of Heaven! I know that our quilt rooms often time have to look that way and it seems to happen when we are in the midst of the greatest creations. I am looking forward to seeing your reoganized room. How FUN!
