TA DA!! Remodel DONE!!

Hello, my Friends!

Well, I have to say that I had NO idea how consuming this project was going to be!  EVERY single day we were totally absorbed by what needed to be done, decisions to make, etc.  I know many of you have done this before and I thought I had a good idea of what was involved, but it was nearly as bad as building a house!  Thank Goodness it's over!!
Here are some pics of the progress.  I won't bore you with them again.  We got rid of ALL the old flooring, ALL the wallpaper, ALL the draperies, ALL the brass hardware and fixtures and painted everything.  The only room that didn't get touched was my studio and the laundry!  We still have small projects to finish like a bit of painting and installing bath and door hardware.  And as you can see, no pictures on the walls or other decorating is done.  At least that's the FUN part!!
Here we go!  You can click on the pics to enlarge if you need to...
One of the major changes we made was to the master bath.  The vanity area was open to the bedroom and we walled it in and completely changed the cabinetry.  Pics are before and after.

Another major change was in the living area upstairs.  There was a door to the bedroom visible as you came in through the entry.  We moved the door to the back of the room to allow much more privacy to the bedroom.  It also gained us quite a bit of room in the living area as well.  I love it!  Again, before and after.

The dining room didn't get too much of a change other than flooring, lighting and furniture.  Showing before and after.

And of course, last but not least, the kitchen changes were huge.  We replaced only the upper cabinets which required us to paint the cabinets.  New appliances, granite, backsplash, tile and hardware finished it off.  The pics show before and two after shots.

So there you have it!  Do you think I'll ever quilt again??  I am so ready to do something else, but it was worth it.  See you soon!!
